Professional Children's School
Talent Show 2014

This was a talent show by the students in New York's Professional Children's School.  Some performed in their area of skill and others showed something else of their interests.  All of the young people are exceptional.  PCS allows them to pursue a study or performance journey at a time in their lives when they also must go to school.  PCS is very flexible yet quite serious in educating these young talents.
One of the most notable findings of the experience was seeing how supportive they all are of each other.  We spoke with the Headmaster and he said these students were all so pleased to be at PCS with each other.  Many came from settings in which they were viewed a bit differently because of their extreme talent and skill.  Often times, he said, they were envied.  But at PCS, they were among friends and people who understood.
The first performer is the current "child star" in the Broadway revival of Pippin.  One of the next performers plays a Listz Piano Rhapsody and gives fist pumps when he finishes.  Also notice that when his fellow students heard something they thought was difficult and he did it well, they hooted and hollered in the middle of his performance.  That isn't seen much on the recital stage!  Then a few more of the performances to give you a sense of the evening.
Please, note the links below that will tell you about the school.
