Obama Motorcade
Our first goal was to see the formal gardens in Central Park. They were preparing the site for a gala this evening and that is why there is a tent.
From the Cooper Hewitt we walked south down Museum Mile, 5th Avenue, until we were stopped by a police roadblock. The police had shut down a major portion of the Upper East Side near the Metropolitan Museum of Art. The reason... Obama!
It really messes things up for everybody.
This is about 1/3 of the motorcade. Lots and lots of police and support.
