Summer and Smoke - Tennessee Williams

"In turn-of-the-century Mississippi, the local minister’s daughter walks the line between piety and sensuality with the neighborhood doctor who grew up next door. Jack Cummings III, Artistic Director of the award-winning Transport Group, helms this sultry Southern Gothic masterpiece marking Tennessee Williams’ long-overdue CSC debut."

SYNOPSIS: A drama in a prologue and two parts about Alma Winemiller's repressed love affair with her childhood sweetheart, the handsome but dissolute Dr. John. He is a man of the body and the senses. Miss Alma (the Spanish word for "soul") is a creature of the spirit -- or at least so she'd like to believe. Will they understand each other before it's too late?
