LINCOLN CENTER

Alice Tully Hall
The Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center

Mozart - Quintet in E-flat major for Two Violins, Two Violas, and Cello, K. 614 (1791)
Reicha - Quintet in B-flat major for Clarinet, Two Violins, Viola, and Cello, Op. 89 (c. 1809)
Glazunov - Quintet in A major for Two Violins, Viola, and Two Cellos, Op. 39 (1891-92)

"The ensemble of two violins, a viola, and cello—the string quartet—is to chamber music as pasta is to Italian cooking: add any good ingredient for a delicious meal. This uncommon program features three disparate and beautiful sonorities of the string quartet augmented by a trio of contrasting instrumental voices, performed by an equally rich assemblage of CMS artists."
